i donā€™t know what iā€™m getting yet but iā€™d want some band merch. like always. i did get to go to two concerts last month as an early present, which was awesome, so iā€™m not expecting to get much for christmas

We received a gift
but at this time

Why is Christmas shopping so important? I donā€™t understand why we have to get gifts at all to be honest.

ItĀ“s cause of the cultural/christian socialisation real fitting agreement under all ppl and the economy, you get manipulated that way immediateely if born, studies tell that an average 75% ppl are doing this way (donĀ“t ask me where and when, but this 75% that got learned it in their childrenshoes
CHRISTMAS=GIFTS The other meanings arenĀ“t that important, I think in 500 years they donĀ“t even know, that it was formerly known as birthday of Jesusā€¦

We are supposed to bring light in the darkā€¦

No, I know itā€™s just a plot and stuff but why are people falling for it since they know itā€™s just that? I mean, I donā€™t see why people spend huge amounts of money for gifts when they can barely live with what they already have. Itā€™s greedy and they teach their kids to be that wayā€¦ and be spoiled of course.

ā€¦at least they do, not important us not understanding itā€¦

I am getting things for traveling  (backpack, new travel towel, etc.)

Christmas = the gift of Christ. But the christmas we celebrate these days is a mixture of all sorts of traditions. Having big fancy family dinners and sharing presents is an old tradition. Centuries ago, in some parts of Europe they would simply celebrate still being alive in the cold winters and being thankful for what they had. They would eat together as if life depended on it, cause often it actually did. And the presents they gave eachother were also a way of helping eachother through the winter. By giving someone a warm sweater or scarf or something.

These days people prefer to pretend they arenā€™t poor and try to buy the love of their children by giving them ridiculous gifts. I still donā€™t understand what a 6 year old needs an iphone for. People have become more selfish, are more focused on receiving rather then giving.

But not everyone is like that. Some people still enjoy to just share each otherā€™s company during these holiday seasons and share a cheap homemade dinner and with or without presents. Itā€™s about sharing the love anyways. And love cannot be bought.

Well, not for everyone.

I end up for Tyra: ā€¦and you gift me socks? What the *****

This.

Iā€™m not really getting anything for Christmas except for what I bought myself, which is an LPU membership ($40) package and MFR shirt.

Good news, I managed to persuade (or rather troll) my sister into deciding to open all of our presents today :grinning:

I finally have all Ratchet and Clank games.

I got an Apple Watch (which is nearly too small for my wrist even with the bigger band, and I have normal sized arms), GTAV and Call of Duty Ghosts for PS4 really cheap (like $30 total), a neat Meteora era Linkin Park beanie, and a Ted keychain so far, of the bigger things. Got some random stuff like candy too

I got some money, jeans, sweater and also some candies

I didnĀ“t got anything, weĀ“ve given up this changing process, and my daughter got money, she likes to buy sth bigā€¦:sunglasses:
