Death of internet forums
I hope LPU stays alive for a long time.
Me too, but with each year, it seems like there’s more of a struggle to maintain any kind of normalcy, on the boards, anyway. The chat room’s kind of dying, too…

Ok, this is beginning to get pretty annoying and going too far. Something I didn’t mention was the stupid box to mark that we “are not bots”, on a paid website. No spambot is going to have a paid account. That was bad enough, but do we REALLY need captchas now, too?

Idk why there is a need to install captchas. Probably Ground(ctrl) made that automatically for all the forums they manage, regardless if it’s an open forum or a closed user group in a paid forum. I’m with you. I think it’s redundant.
But what’s even more time rubbing is, to do the login every single time, when I open the LPU website or come back. And very often, I even have to do the login process twice, because it doesn’t work by the first attempt.

Forums themselves aren’t dying, it’s merely ones like this where there’s a cost involved will automatically limit participation from others. And this forum has been dying way before the LPU moved away from Sparkart. It’ll liven up a bit when new material is released later in the year, though.

Around the release of the album, or if the band releases puzzles or games like the last two albums, activity here will increase. Slightly, if at all.

and considering what’s going on at linkinpark.com…i would predict activity increasing within the next week or so. also, cloud memes.
