That’s assuming he’s going to be buried. There are many people who request cremation. So I guess we will have to respect whatever his final request was, and the wishes of his family. I know we are all family, and we all love Chester… it isn’t something that ceases in our hearts, so maybe we will have to hold our own memorials if the family wants privacy. They need time to grieve.

Of course it is, but if the funeral is public, it’s because they want to give people the option of showing their support and sympathy.

I don’t think it’ll be public and I certainly hope it won’t, there’s always some lunatics around to crash and ruin it. of course LP fans would never, but there’s just too many people who don’t care and respect and I don’t want those kind of people to Chester’s funeral.
I’m sure we will get our chance to say goodbye, maybe with a memorial concert etc, but funeral is for the family and closest friends imo.

This will no way be a public event. Esp after the hacking incident on his wife’s twitter page on the day of Chester’s death- too many nutters around. Chester and his wife have had a fair share of those. Who can blame her for wanting a private funeral? There is always one or 2 who ruin it for so many of us who genuinely loved Chester and LP.
