A: The vinyl cover, yes.
Q: Black or blue pen?
A: The vinyl cover, yes.
Q: Black or blue pen?
A: Unsure, but I guess blue. I still use pencil.
Q: Have you played the game Portal? If yes, did you like it?
A: No I haven’t played it, but from what I’ve seen it’s not my sort of game. I prefer the fast paced stuff.
Q: A song that you are addicted to right now?
A: 1% - FFAF
Q: How much storage space do you need for your stuff?
A: Less than 3GB if you don’t count music and pics
Q: How bad was your day?
A: Bad as in boring, extremely. The whole country was on strike today, no public transport, no nothing. It was damn quiet at work I could barely stand it. I’m so glad it’s Friday tomorrow and the weekend’s almost here.
Q: Yours?
A: Terrible even by my standards. I’m ill so I’m twice as grouchy (and I got no sleep due to the illness and the fact that it was Diwali and there were fireworks everywhere), I had no breakfast due to loss of appetite, then I had to finish off a last min assignment whilst paying attention to whatever lesson I was in (I thought the due date was next week), then I had to sit through a dead meeting with the student parliament at lunch where I ate 2 slices of plain pizza.
After that I was told that the deadline to submit my personal statement for uni (so that my teacher can write me a reference in time) was tomorrow, so I had to go to student services to get that done (I was nearly late for my next lesson) then I had to pay but I’d forgotten my debit card at home so I’m paying tomorrow.
Tomorrow will be slightly better as I got the bulk of my stuff done today. Tomorrow I have a single maths lesson at 15:05 (right at the end of the day ).
Q: @EvoOba What was the strike for? There was a strike this Tue here. One of the teaching unions wanted a pay rise as far as I know. The funny thing about protesting in the UK is that you protest and it makes no difference
@the_termin8r1 Sounds like a stressful day. Hope tomorrow’s better for you! Also, get better soon, hate it when I can’t sleep (or eat) cause of illness.
A: It was a general strike against austerity measures basically. Well, not that anything is going to change here either. We’re in deep shit.
Q: Diwali, is that the lights festival?
What’s worse is that my hearing has gone too
Yeah, it’s the Hindu festival of light and because there are a lot of Indian people in my area they go berserk (the year before last they wen’t on until 01:00, this year they stopped almost suddenly at around 23:00). It sounds like a war zone, honestly, I could probably fire a gun and everybody will be none the wiser. It’s the perfect cover to kill somebody.
Q: If you come from a country that doesn’t speak English (like @EvoOba and @The_early_walker) would you say you have an accent when you speak English?
Apparently when I first came to England I had the stereotypical Eastern European accent. Now (unsurprisingly) I have a British accent. I was playing online once with mics and a Canadian guy thought I was doing a fake British accent as a joke
I think ´ve the typical european-american style/type of speaking this language, I adore to meat real americans to hear their sound and pronounciation, I just looooooooooooooooove the American-English
A: I definitely have an accent. You can tell the minute I start to talk that English is not my mother tongue. I worked really hard on my British accent while I was in school but I couldn’t nail it so I dropped it. I use American English when I type (as you’ve probably noticed) but I refrain from using it when I actually speak. British English is more formal anyways. (Yay for different accents btw, love hearing people talk)
Q: Do you prefer being in bed with your laptop/tablet or sit at a desk/table?
A: Bed it is.
Q: When the world is about to end, and if you are alive then, whom would you like to be with?
Table due to a mildly traumatic incident involving my laptop dropping on my Adam’s apple I was lying in bed on night with the laptop on the top half of my chest, I wanted to move it so I picked it up but lost grip and dropped it from a solid 7-8 cm
Myself, I know it sounds selfish but if the world is about to end and you’re rolling with me you’l never get to see the end as I’ll probs be doing something stupid and lethal lol.
Q: Do you cringe when you read over your old work sometimes?
A: Oh yes! Some stuff were just… bad!
Q: Do you parents keep your old school stuff? (Mine have a whole box of them from various school years, mostly from kindergarten and elementary)
A: Nope nothing almost survived
Q: What do you think about keeping the stuff, for- whatever- as parents use to keep old stuff?
Yeah My mum keps all my doodles as well somewhere. Even the ones that I hated and through away.
A: My parents always keep all their stuff but throw mine away.
Q: Speaking of throwing stuff away, when you were small, were you considered a ‘destructive’ kid, eg. shredding the tape from cassette tapes etc.
A: Yes, but I would ultimately make something out of anything that I would rip open, so none said me anything. It was just that I never broke anything expensive.
Q: Do you write/used to write diary? Do you still have them?
[A few days ago, someone asked what was the most weird thing that happened on that particular day. Today I saw a jeep successfully chase an Audi R8. I was dumbstruck. They both passed by my side while I was walking down the street. I am amazed right now.]
A: No, I never kept a diary.
Q: Did foreign language teachers want you to find a pen pal while in school so you could “practice” the language?
A: I never had a foreign language in my school. But thanks to the mighty internet, I have friends across the globe.
Q: Do you have a pen pal now? Even if it’'s not to learn the language.
