I can see the horror league being very very small
YepâŚthats true
i thought i am the only one whoâs not interested in horror
Including my nomination (which is yet to be revealled) there is only 6 so far
Skynet is a better AI than the matrix
Yeh Skynet donât need humans, the matrix needs them to power it
How about first chucky
Seeing it as a kid you wanna throw all your toys out
Its all gravy
Thatâs a very debatable topic, and it needs a different thread completely.
The Matrix relied on the brain power of multiple humans to power itself, and wiped out complete Zion number of times to ultimately make it a part of the program. I would say, a smart move.
At the same time, Skynet is a giant conscious and is less advanced than Matrix (as depicted in the movie). It is worthy opponent, but in the end, Mr Smith would be likeâŚ
Gonna do the horror league a bit different since there is only 6 nominations
Oh goodâŚchange is good .
Yes, the rest are specifically named Saw2, Saw3, Saw4, Saw5, Saw6 and Saw3D: The Last Chapter. You wouldnât allow me to, else I would have nominated all except Saw4.
Such a shame, Wachowski didnât do the original plot.
I read somewhere, that their first plan was no happy end. After death in the 3-d part Neo wakes up in the Architectâs room and asks him âwtf?â The Architect sais that the Struggle and Smith and Zion are no more than another simulation and this was the 7-th Zion and the sae version of Matrix.
Nice.
Also, check out, what this guy in the link writes. He probably didnât see the Animatrix but he sais some obvious things. Maybe the plot blank spaces didnât allow Matrix get over Arni.
The sequels definitely were an overdo, especially Revolutions. I guess it would have been a bold move to create a movie like The Matrix, which already had a complex plot, and give it an indie-movie type ending. This was not a feature in late 90s and early 00s.
Today filmmakers take more liberty with the ending and try to surprise us. I think Animatrix was a good step. Something similar can be done as an experiment.
Also, this guyâs ideas are pretty mainstream in todayâs time. Nevertheless, you can tell that to a kid, get him excited, make him watch Matrix: Revolutions and see hopes and dreams of a kid die.
My nomination is The Thing (1982)
