The only band I’ve “discovered” because of Linkin Park was The Rosewood Fall, and that was more indirectly since I actually discovered them through LPA.
Whose fan I really became because of Linkin Park is Gray Daze. Even if they don’t exist anymore.
I grown to like Chris Cornell, Atreyu, Hawthorn Heights, Korn, Mindless Self Indulgence, Limp Bizket, and 10 years!
O and My Chemical Romance!
Deftones are probably the only band they highlighted for me in an around the way kinda way.

In general, I came to Nu-Metal through LP and yeah, these are my favs so far: Papa Roach ( especially Infest, Lovehatetragedy, Getting Away With Murder ), Korn ( every album, except the new one ), System Of A Down ( fave: System Of A Down ), Deftones ( fave: The White Poney ), Limp Bizkit ( especially Three Dollar Bill Yall$, Significant Other, Chocolate Starfish And The Hot Dog Flavoured Water )…
Saosin and My Chemical Romance became two of my favorite bands after the 2007 Projekt Revolution tour. I’d never heard of Saosin before then. I’d heard of MCR before that tour and had a few of their songs, but I never bothered to get their entire albums until after. Like OP, we actually got to PR right when Saosin was finishing but the song they ended with sounded really good so I researched them after.
Incubus from the Honda Civic tour is another one like MCR for me. Listened to some of their songs, but really got into them after.
Atreyu live, and Rise Aganst (simply because other LP fans recommended them to me)!

Well, I can say that I became a real big fan of Funeral for a Friend, as they were supporting LP in Stuttgart 2009.
I actually heard of them before, but never really listend to them. After I’ve seen them playing in Stuttgart I have bought all of their albums and I must say that I really love this band! If there is a band that is “almost” as great as Linkin Park, then its Funeral for a Friend! I love visiting their concerts in listening to their music!
But of course, there also other that I started to listen to throuhg Linkin Park:

nothing like that but ever since i got into lp i started listening to a rock radio station to hear them and picked up on bands like: disturbed, three days grace, shinedown and a lot more and learn their lyrics quick.
I follow Mike on Spotify and he listens to some pretty awesome stuff. So because of LP and Mike’s amazingness, I now really like Alt- J, The Joy Formidable, Woodkid, and Yeasayer.
